Technologies at Our Dental Clinic

At Evergreen Dental, we leverage technology to help inform treatment planning and make your dental appointments run more smoothly and efficiently. We display digital x-rays and scans on in-room monitors so we can clearly show you any issues with your oral health, walk you through your treatment plan and make recommendations.

Dental technology helps us achieve our goals to provide our patients with efficient dental care and ensure they are fully informed regarding their oral health.

X-Rays

Digital X-Rays

Traditional photographic x-ray film has been replaced with digital x-rays, which use digital sensors to produce extremely detailed computer images of your teeth and gums, in addition to other oral conditions and structures. This allows your dentist to examine parts of your mouth that are invisible to the naked eye.

Panoramic X-Rays

With panoramic x-rays, your dentist can take a single image of your entire mouth to help plan treatments for dentures, extractions and braces. This x-ray is a flat representation of the teeth, lower and upper jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and the sinus and nasal structures.

Intraoral iTero Scanners

Intraoral iTero scanners are used to create digital dental impressions - a fantastic alternative to traditional dental impressions, which can be time-consuming and messy. Your dentist takes a digital image of your teeth using an optical scanning wand.

This device helps your dentist gather highly accurate data in minutes to create digital replicas of your mouth's tissues for restorative purposes including veneers and crowns. They can also help diagnose orthodontic problems and help us develop the best treatment plans.

With the wand, your dentist can scan molars at the back of your mouth that are difficult to reach with more traditional dental technology.

Soft Tissue Dental Lasers

Lasers (extremely focused light beams) are used to perform a range of soft tissue procedures with less pain, fewer medical interventions and faster healing. At Evergreen Dental, your dentist may use a laser to reshape your gums, remove soft tissue folds from dentures, or speed up the bleaching process during a teeth whitening treatment.

Oral Cancer Screening Device

The VELscope® is an oral cancer screening device that helps your dentist find diseases and other abnormalities in your mouth, such as pre-cancerous and cancerous lesions. Leveraging fluorescence visualization technology, your dentist can conduct the screening during your routine oral exam within about two minutes under regular lighting conditions.
