What is a Dental Appliance?

To maintain excellent oral health, we need to do more than just brush or floss. For those of us who snore, clench or grind our teeth, or even play sports, dental appliances can help protect and preserve our teeth, as well as our overall wellbeing.

At Evergreen Dental, we offer dental appliances such as sleep apnea devices and mouth guards to improve and safeguard your oral health.

Snoring & Sleep Apnea Appliances

Your sleep can be disrupted by sleep disorders that can have negative implications for your overall health and wellbeing.

When we snore, our throat tissues relax and cause the airway to restrict, producing the snoring sound as oxygen is forced out. For patients suffering from sleep apnea, their over-relaxed throat tissues block the airway, forcing the brain to awaken them so they can breathe.

At Evergreen Dental, we offer custom-fitted oral devices to shift the tongue muscles and lower jaw so the airway can have better access to oxygen. This helps improve your breathing flow and prevents you from wakening continually through the night.

Custom-Fitted Mouth Guards

The custom-made mouth guards we offer fit over your teeth to defend them from damage as you sleep or play sports.

Sports Guards

If you take a hit to the mouth while playing sports, a mouth guard provides a barrier between your mouth's soft tissue and your teeth. This protects your smile from damage.

Night Guards

Night guards help protect your teeth from damage if you grind your teeth as you sleep. It will also prevent you from clenching your jaw and help alleviate any related pain.
